CSF Alumni on the Mission Field

CSF Alumni on the Mission Field

It is not unusual for CSF students to discover a calling to the mission field while in their college years, especially after participating in a trip inside or outside the United States.  Their stories are inspiring to those who stay behind as prayer warriors and financial supporters.

If you would like to keep abreast of what is happening in their ministries and their lives, won't you drop an email of encouragement to let them know?

There are other CSF alumni not shown here who are currently working in closed countries. They have legitimate jobs and do their mission work "underground."  Be praying for them, won't you?

Jeremy Befort

Romania—For God’s Children International

CSF 2005

Jeremy came to CSF at UNL out of curiosity - and to argue why Christianity didn't make sense. Little did he know that his would be God's plan to introduce him to the love of Christians and to Jesus' plan of salvation. Jeremy was baptized in 2002 as a junior and joined a short-term mission trip to Romania that summer. When he returned, he knew he had to go back and do God's work. He finished his engineering degree in 2004, and began raising support to go back to the orphanage for a long-term commitment.

Jeremy joined the staff at For God's Children International and remains in Romania today.  You can  email him at ro_befort@yahoo.com

Rob Giffin

Missionary to the Philippines

2001-2004

When Rob fell the pull from the mission field, he made the decision to sell his belongings and answer the call.  He put price stickers on everything in his meager "college kid apartment" and one thing at a time, emptied it out.  He mustered enough financial support to make the trip to Manila, and stayed for over three years.

Andy Gear

Missionary in Laos

2006 - present

Andy was active in CSF mission work while in college, and followed his call halfway around the world where he serves today.

Molly Skiles

Missionary to the Philippines

2002-2005

Molly joined 14 other CSF students during her sophomore year at UNK to serve for two weeks in the Philippines.  She fell in love with the people and though not even 20 years old, made a decision to stay and serve the Lord as a teacher.  When it came time to pack up and head home, Molly announced to the rest of the team, "I am staying."  They supported her decision and returned home to help raise the support needed for her mission work.

As a result of medical and other issues, Molly came back to the United States in 2005.  She is now married and has a young daughter and lives in Omaha.
