Accepting Our Commission

Christian Student Fellowship of Nebraska firmly believes in the Great Commission given to us by Jesus in Matthew 28:

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

We are committed to teaching students about mission work, then offering opportunities to take short-term mission trips inside and outside of the United States.  Traditionally, each Spring Break, we fill 15-passenger vans with students, sponsors, supplies, and excitements as we head south into Mexico.  Planning with local missionaries, we help with construction work (homes and churches), host a Children's "VBS" each evening, help wherever possible in schools, homes, and churches.  CSF students return home exhausted - but with dramatically changed lives.  There are stories to tell after each trip - some things that happen are so unbelievable that there is no question that there was divine intervention.  To view pictures in our scrapbook, you can click here.

Each year there are CSF students who, while on the Mission Trip, make the decision to surrender their lives to Christ.  These are amazing times for all the students, sponsors, and hosts who participate.

In addition to the Mexico Mission Trip, students are offered opportunities to travel to other foreign countries such as Honduras, Haiti, Japan, Romania, and wherever else God calls us. In the past five years, three CSF students have graduated from college only to set their diplomas on a shelf and make a decision to enter the mission field.  Click on "Missionaries in the Field" for more information on these individuals.

We at CSF love to tell our stories about mission work.  Any occasion that arises where we can be invited to talk at a Sunday School gathering, Mission Team, Elders Meeting, or Community event - we're there!
