Financial Supporters

CSF has been blessed by much needed financial gifts throughout the 35 year existence of the ministry.  There are currently over 60 churches support CSF financially, as well as 400+ individuals and families. Gifts of any size are appreciated.

Christian Student Fellowship of Nebraska exists solely on the gifts of friends, families, and congregations across the state.  The Board of Directors reviews the finances regularly, and each year a breakdown of income and expenses is distributed to our financial supporters.  If you are considering joining our team, you may request a copy of the latest financial report by contacting Greg Swinney, Statewide Ministry Director at greg@csfneb.org.

SPECIAL FUND APPEALS

On occasion, an individual, family, or mission team may desire to support a specific program or project. Current needs for which you may want to consider a special "above-and-beyond" gift include:

  • Recently expanded meeting space for up to 200 students means more stackable chairs are needed.

  • Continued growth on the Northeast Community College campus created a need for more and better sound equipment.

  • Three small colleges have contacted CSF with an interest to start a ministry on their campus.  Funds need to be available for hiring part-time and, later, full-time ministry staff.

  • Spring Break Mission Trips bring with them a need for special gifts to cover costs of gas, rental vans, food for students and sponsors, construction supplies, and more.  Special gifts are always appreciated.

  • Student interns are responsible for raising financial support on their own. To make a designated gift for an intern, contact the CSF office at (308) 234-3922 for current interns on each campus.

  • 15-passenger vans are used extensively to transport students to CSF activities, retreats, and mission trips.  International students are treated to area sight-seeing trips and shopping at Wal-Mart.  Vans become "tired" and need replacement every few years. There is always a need for special gifts to the Designated Fund for Van Replacement.

  • Foreign language Bibles in Japanese, Korean, Chinese. There never seem to be enough on hand. This is a great project for a Sunday School Class or small group.

  • Provide for meal expenses for International student suppers.  30+ students from foreign countries come on Sunday evenings to the UNK Campus House to enjoy a meal, conversation to sharpen their English skills, and a Bible lesson they can understand.

If you would like updated information on financial needs on a monthly or regular basis, take a minute to sign up for the CSF Email Distribution list right now by contacting Greg at greg@csfneb.org.

LIQUIDATION OF NON-CASH DONATIONS

As the ministry of CSF pursues the mandate to help fulfill the Great Commission in this generation, we believe that all available resources should be at work in the furtherance of this goal.  Therefore, non-cash donations that it receives will generally be liquidated at the first available opportunity.  Gifts of stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and other securities will be sold immediately, often within 3 to 5 days.  Gifts of real property approved by the Property Team within the CSF Board of Directors will be turned over to appropriate brokers/agents for sale o a qualified buyer.  Exceptions may be made by the Board of Directors as deemed appropriate and consistent with our overall mission of the organization.

The ministry will not hold non-cash gifts long-term nor seek to "time the market" but will liquidate them in a wise, thoughtful manner.  Any and all resources necessary to the liquidation process will be marshaled to expedite the conversion of non-cash gifts to cash for ministry use (s) as designated by the donor.  Questions regarding such procedures are welcome and may be directed to the Board Chairman or the Statewide Ministry Director, Greg Swinney at (308) 293-3033.
